We believe actors should have access to opportunities in the entertainment industry. Whether you have no connections in the industry, taken some acting classes but don't see traction in your career, or simply don't know where to begin, let DC Stage Society help you grow in your acting journey. We're here to support you by bringing in industry professionals to the DC area so that you don't have to move to New York or Atlanta. From audition tips to building relationships with casting directors to creating collaboration opportunities between actors, we're here to help you succeed in this business.

"I attended DC Stage Society’s TV/Film Audition Workshop with Casting Director Erica A. Hart. It was awesome!! & in person! I cannot tell you how helpful it was to me to be in-person where all the focus was on just taking notes, receiving feedback and performing. We received feedback on the technical aspects of our self tapes (i.e. framing, slate, background, sound, eye line). We also received feedback on our live performance which provided a good amount of takeaways. I learned to be grounded, to know the pacing, you shouldn’t end where you started, and most importantly bring YOU to the character. We always want to know what sets us apart and it’s your unique experiences and personality.
Before DC Stage Society I hadn’t taken many in person workshops but my experience with them has me hungry for more! Thank you so much Mimi and Eric. Mimi was such a delight from start to finish. She made herself available for all questions and concerns. Eric operated the camera and the sound. He did a wonderful job. In addition to it being a great workshop, we also received a copy of our live recording. Which was delivered very promptly and the quality is amazing! I would recommend DC Stage Society to any actor (new or seasoned) in the DMV Area who wants to connect with other actors, receive industry feedback, get a quality self tape, and sharpen their skills."
